Triathlon Report

The School Triathlon

On Wednesday the 17th of February Haumoana school had their triathlon. The course was 3 laps around the goal posts for the year 5 & 6, two for year 4 and one for year 3.  The bike was around the field up the hill, down the hill through this gap between the classrooms, past the lunch area, onto the concrete play area, past the monkey and back on the field. The year 5 & 6 had to do this twice. Year 3 & 4 once. After that there was the swim. After a long bike and run I think everyone thought the swim was   refreshing.

Week 3

It was a busy week last week with the Weetbix Tryathlon (check out all the photos on the School Face book page), Meet the Teacher

and the Iway Bike Safety course.

EOTC continues this week with the School Picnic on Monday.
Concentration 1

We also have the school triathlon taking place on Wednesday afternoon.  Grace and Molly should be ready for this challenge as they competed in the Ironkids event in the weekend. Great attitude girls!

This event is worth watching if you can get away from work as the children compete for individual and House honours.  Remember to bring along your House colours!

Concentration 2
In between events we will be getting group reading under way and the Maths Knowledge homework will be arriving home.

Kia Kaha and Cool Schools will continue and we will be discussing ideas for Shop Day.
